settling in

Have been doing the rello thing in between a few jobs around the house. Seen Aunty Pola and Uncle Andrew as well as Uncle Andrew's daughter at the pharmacy.

We went up to a new housing estate to visit the family of Danae's friend. The mum is a Londoner, married to a marine engineer who used to work on submarines. He has built a lovely house on top of a valley that looks out to gleaming white salt pans in the distance. A dramatic pool launches
out over the cliff. There was dust everywhere, then we arive at a green oasis of a garden with sprinklers playing everywhere.

Last night we washed the cars, watered the garden and took off for a long walk along the seafront. Loads of people were down there. A shipping conference was holdinga sit-down dinner for a couple of hundred people on the dock. It all looked very festive. At 9pm we decided to have a souvlaki and some calamari at a cafe at the end of our walk.got home feeling shattered. I want to take the camera down to the old Limassol by the sea front sometime. it has a 1950s morroccan feel about it all.
Keep you posted...love, Lily
